
For the first time since 1997, the KLCI touched 1,030 points on this tuesday, 15 Nov 2006. Finally, the index rises 10.28 points and closed at 1,030.39 points. This is the highest points in which the KLSE ever acchieved in past 9 years. There are 602 counters climbed higher, 240 counters fell, 292 counters remained unchanged, and 186 counters not in transaction.
The trading volume remains high with 1.1billion shares changing hands valued at RM1.4bn. The KLCI continues to stay above the 1,000 mark and we expect the next level of resistance to be 1,040 with support at 1,000. In the other hand, FTSE Bursa Malaysia 100 Index increased 70.09 points and closed at 6668.93 points.
